Social Media Archiving

CivicPlus

ArchiveSocial, powered by CivicPlus, is the State of Iowa's vendor to archive applicable social media accounts for all agencies. Social media archiving ensures that all posts on social media are archived for legal compliance, especially if an agency needs to prove that content was removed due to a policy violation.

Archiving protects against potential lawsuits for removing posts, ensuring agencies have a permanent record of their social media content for compliance and legal protection purposes.

If you receive an email stating your account has been disconnected, please click the link and reconnect your account. It's simple and usually only requires a click and possible login.

If your agency needs be added to ArchiveSocial, please send a request through ServiceDesk Plus. If you already have an ArchiveSocial account, you can add social media apps if you need to. Learn more about social media archiving and which types of accounts can be archived.

Past DX Bulletins

All past DX Bulletins are now available through a link at the top of every page on the DX Training site. If you want to revisit a topic or didn't have the opportunity to read an issue, you can find links to each of this year's bulletins.

Enhancements and Bug Fixes

Titles Containing 'Download' Displaying Download Icon

The word "Download" in a 'How Do I' node title was causing a Listing Page to show that item with a download icon. That issue has been fixed.

Documents Not Showing in Usage Report

Documents linked from any type of Microcontent, such as an Accordion, were not showing up in the Drupal Usage Reports. This has been fixed.

Event Locations Wrapping to a New Line

The location of an Event was wrapping to a new line for an Automatic List of Events and was using the wrong font styling. This has been fixed.

HOW TO: Embed a Remote Video on a Page

Remote video URLs can be added to the Media Library and then embedded in Basic Pages. First you need to upload your video to YouTube, for example, and copy the video URL. Next you would add that URL to the Media Library as a Remote Video. Learn more on the DX Training site about embedding videos.

HOW TO: Report a Bug or Request Help

To request support with your website or report a bug, you can fill out a request using ServiceDesk Plus. Your request will be routed to the Website and Digital Services team to be addressed. If the issue is determined to be a Drupal issue or bug, the information will be forwarded to the Lullabot team.

HOW TO: Use Focal Point for Images

The Focal Point allows content editors to specify the most important part of an image, known as the "focal point." If your uploaded image isn't focusing on the area of the image you'd like, or if your image is being cutoff at a level you'd like to change, focal point is your answer. Learn how to use the focal point tool on the DX Training site.
