ICN is introducing a new vision, operational goals, and strategic emphasis, as part of our broader strategic initiative. With the new direction, we are committed to ensuring secure and reliable communications for our authorized customers, and we are dedicated to providing critical infrastructure for all Iowans.
New Vision Statement: The ICN delivers essential communications services to our customers, allowing them to better serve Iowans. We enhance critical infrastructure and foster public-private partnerships that drive innovation, economic development, and connectivity across the State.
Four Operational Goals for Fiscal Year 2026:
Decrease Expenses by driving fiscally responsible behaviors and policies.
Increase Revenue with monthly recurring revenue growth. We do this by engaging with customers to meet broadband needs.
Improve Customer Outcomes by maintaining 99.999% network uptime. We do this by delivering proactive and high-value services.
Make Our Jobs Easier by streamlining internal processes and support systems.
Iowa summers have very unpredictable weather, which can get pretty intense. Summer often has weather events such as tornadoes, floods, and thunderstorms. The team at ICN has experience handling these kinds of situations. We’ve put in a lot of effort to reduce risks, develop strategies, and bounce back when disasters happen.
As August marks National Emergency Management Awareness Month, we want to highlight our partnerships and how our fiber optic Network is the connectivity backbone for public safety and emergency management for all 99 counties in Iowa.
If your technology team is short on resources or needs additional support, look to the ICN for assistance. We offer professional support hours to help customers with firewall modifications, network designs, and security initiatives.
✉️ Contact your ICN account manager to learn more about this new support opportunity.
