Granite Telecommunications (Granite) and ICN are teaming up to enhance connectivity for the Capitol Complex buildings in Des Moines, IA. This collaboration aims to provide dependable cellular connections for elevators, fire alarm panels, and security systems in locations that Iowans visit every day.
For many State government buildings, integrated building systems operate using legacy copper voice lines. With technology becoming outdated due to rising costs, ICN explored alternative solutions to ensure our government customers can keep providing essential day-to-day services to Iowans.
In May, Allamakee High School's cyber class and ICN wrapped up its SYBAC spin-off. Allamakee's Curriculum Director, Kelli Olson, shares that the collaboration opened doors to industry experts and training, making lessons more meaningful. From January through May, ICN lined up industry experts to offer insights and career tips to the students.

The Iowa Governor’s STEM Advisory Council at the Iowa Department of Education announced 12 STEM BEST (Businesses Engaging Students and Teachers) programs have been awarded over $200,000 in grants for a new summer pilot program, STEM BEST Explore. The pilot program aims to help students make connections between the classroom and the workplace and learn about STEM careers.
A new unemployment system is now available. For the first time, Iowans will now complete the entire unemployment process from one central location, iowaworks.gov.
The School-Centered Behavioral Health Grant will support rural Iowa school districts, providing timely and convenient access to mental and behavioral health services.
