Filing Reminder - Utility Replacement and Statewide Property Tax


The Iowa Department of Revenue's e-Services portal, GovConnectIowa, enables customers to file various tax returns, make payments, and manage account information, in one convenient location, 24/7. Effective in 2025, utility replacement and statewide property tax forms must be filed through GovConnectIowa and will not be accepted via email.

Important Due Dates

  • Utility Replacement Tax (formerly Form A/B) Return – Due March 31, 2025
  • Form C Return – Due May 1, 2025
  • Statewide Property Tax Return – Due by March 31, 2025

Already Filed?

  • Log in to your GovConnectIowa account
  • On the Accounts tab, select File, Amend, or View Returns
  • View a list of returns and their status

Requesting Access to Tax Accounts


If you do not see your Utility Replacement or Statewide Property account in GovConnectIowa, you will need to request access to your accounts. Follow the steps provided in the tutorial:

NOTE: This process requires a letter to be mailed to you with a verification code. Complete this step immediately to file before the due dates listed above. Make sure to use the same FEIN that was used to complete the pre-registration form, as well as the Letter ID or IDR ID associated with that entity.
