Electronic Filing Available for Utility Replacement and Statewide Property Tax
Effective in 2025, utility replacement and statewide property tax forms must be filed through GovConnectIowa and will not be accepted via email. Electronic filing is now available for Utility Replacement Tax Return, Form C, and Statewide Property Tax Returns.
To get started, create a GovConnectIowa account and request access to the Utility Replacement/Statewide Property account. Visit the GovConnectIowa Help for step-by-step instructions. Once you are connected to the account on GovConnectIowa, you will find the forms, due dates, and on-screen help text to guide you through the process.
Important Information regarding Statewide Property Tax:
- Statewide Property Tax returns will be generated by GovConnectIowa for the taxpayers that meet the statutory requirements to file only.
- For the 2024 return, taxpayers will need to manually input their total assessed value.
