NRA Range Safety Officer Class

The NRA Range Safety Officer Class is offered to SCTP and SASP Coaches and Hunter Ed Instructors free of charge. The class is about 8 hours and is classroom based. You may register with the attached links.

NSSA Level 1 & Associate Instructor Class

The National Skeet Shooting Association Level 1 Instructor and Associate Instructor Class will be held on April 1 & 2 at the New Pioneer Gun Club in Waukee.  Ben Berka will be the instructor.  The registration form may be accessed HERE . Coaches who successfully complete the course may apply for a 50% reimbursement from Iowa SCTP, Inc.

Mental Game & Pre-Shot Routine at Upper Iowa

Spring trapshooting season is just around the corner. Upper Iowa University Shotgun Sports Team is hosting a clinic for students and coaches about the mental game and developing a pre-shot routine. The team will share how their mental game and pre-shot routines have evolved, why they are important to have, and tips to help on and off the field. Indoor Training Opportunities at Grand View

Grand View University Shooting Sports has an indoor training room for its Shotgun Team. Get your High School Team started early this season and reserve this space. Indoor training without the expense of ammunition.  The area offers a great space for classroom and lecture with white board, WI-FI, TV.  The area also offers multiple mirrors for gun mount work, hand - eye coordination games and drills and it also houses our Trap simulator and 5 Station Dry Fire wall chart.  Contact Coach Charlie Mundy to make arrangements: cmundy@grandview.edu or 515.452.7594

2023 Iowa SCTP Championship Guide

The Championship Guide is now available on the DNR Website. The guide includes all information and requirements for leagues, as well as prices, dates, and registration information for the Championship Events.  The 2023 Guide can be found on the DNR website under "Program Links". 

Senior Spotlight Now Available

Our online form for senior athletes to submit a photo and information is now available. This information is shared on the Iowa SCTP, Inc Facebook page to highlight our senior athletes. The form is available HERE
