Good Morning HHS Team!
I’m excited to report that alignment progress has continued in full force this week. We met with some of our public health team members last Friday and have a follow up session scheduled for April 6. We’re learning lessons along the way and integrating those lessons into our future plans. We have also been planning for the Disability and Behavioral Health table of organization work session - which kicks off April 8. A huge thank you to everyone who has been involved in these meetings so far for your engagement and thoughtful feedback. We are learning a lot!
This week we have also devoted a lot of time to two critically important projects - 1. the mission, vision and guiding principles project and 2. the new department branding project. This is such important work, and I am proud to get us started. We will work together to describe our new HHS department, identify a vision to inspire and challenge our work, and decide how we will introduce our department to Iowa. Please keep an eye out for a survey that will be distributed through this update channel soon. The survey will inform the development of an Iowa Department of Health and Human Services mission, vision, guiding principles and branding strategy.
This week we also finalized a plan for providing regular alignment communications to leadership, supervisors, and our whole #TeamHHS. Keeping everyone informed while not overwhelming is a challenge - but we’re determined!.
For those of you who have sent questions and feedback - thank you! If I haven’t responded yet, I will! Your thoughts, suggestions and comments are always welcome - sarah.reisetter@idph.iowa.gov.
Let’s make it another great day ~
Sarah
