Description: In this 2-day asset management workshop, you will learn about how asset management can benefit your system. Not sure where to begin? Asset Management can help you solve these problems, and more.

The U.S. Government will Transition from DUNS Numbers to New Unique Entity Identifiers on April 4, 2022.
The U.S. federal government currently uses a third-party website to obtain the numbers that uniquely identify different entities such as city governments, non-profits and corporations. The number is provided by Dun & Bradstreet and is known as a DUNS number.
By April of 2022, entities doing business with the federal government will begin to use a Unique Entity Identifier (SAM) created in SAM.gov. Cities will no longer have to go to a third-party website to obtain their identifier number.
Current SAM.gov registrants have already been assigned their Unique Entity Identifier (SAM) and can view it within SAM.gov.
To learn more about this transition and how to obtain your SAM number, go to:

Online and virtual training opportunities are being created and offered through community colleges, state industry associations, national industry associations, EPA, and other state industry partners. All operators should continue to monitor their emails and the Training Calendar on the Iowa DNR Operator Certification Database. Look at the calendar often, as there are new opportunities posted throughout the week.
