Healthcare.gov Open Enrollment Period
You can enroll in or change 2022 Marketplace health insurance right now. The 2022 Open Enrollment Period on healthcare.gov runs from November 1, 2021, through Saturday, January 15, 2022. Starting November 1, consumers can log in to HealthCare.gov and CuidadoDeSalud.gov or call 1-800-318-2596 to fill out an application and enroll in a 2022 Marketplace plan. Visit healthcare.gov for important deadlines and how to find assistance.
FEMA Funeral Assistance
FEMA continues to provide financial assistance for COVID-19 related funeral expenses. At this time, there is no deadline to apply for assistance. In addition to the flyer below, information is available in multiple languages, including a video with American Sign Language at this link: Funeral Assistance FAQ.
SSI for Children with mental or physical disability
Supplemental Security Income (SSI) provides monthly cash payments to help meet the basic needs of children who have a physical or mental disability or who are blind. If you care for a child or teenager with a disability, and have limited income and savings or other resources, your child may be eligible for SSI. You may apply online or call 1-800-772-1213. If you are deaf or hard-of-hearing, call toll-free TTY number, 1-800-325-0778. Representatives are available Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. For eligibility criteria and more information, visit ssa.gov.
