The Linn County blindness support group will have its next meeting via Zoom on Wednesday, 23 June 2021, at 10:00 a.m. We hope eventually to be able to meet again in person, but at this point that seems far away.
We are hoping to have someone from Cedar Rapids Transit join our Zoom meeting to give up to date info on their services, which can greatly expand the mobility for people who don’t drive.
Please be aware that our group will take a summer vacation. We will not meet in the months of July and August, but will resume in September, possibly in person.
You can join our meeting either on computer or smart device. Here are the instructions:
- Computer:
- Open your internet browser
- Press ALT+D to open the address line.
- Paste or type https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84237776831?pwd=SzRTSjd4UE1CcDArWTd5azVSZDVqQT09 into the address bar, then press ENTER.
- A box opens, saying "This site is trying to open Zoom meetings." Tab to Open button and hit ENTER.
- You now should be in the Zoom meeting or in the waiting room, awaiting arrival of the host to start the meeting.
- Smartphone:

- Dial from where you are: dial +1 312 626 6799 US (a number in Chicago), then, at prompt, enter the meeting ID: 842 3777 6831 Passcode is: 158299
That should allow you into the meeting. If the host is not at the controls yet, you’ll be in the “waiting room” till the host arrives.
If anyone wants to test Zoom out before this meeting please call me (319-298-2919) and I’ll try to set up a personal or small-group session to try to increase your comfort level.
