Anthony Kerker is the newest Environmental Specialist in Field Office 6 (Washington) and is working in the water supply program area, filling a vacancy due to promotion. He graduated from Iowa State University with a double major in Environmental Science and Animal Ecology with a Fisheries emphasis.
The DNR's Environmental Services Division Field Office 1 (Manchester) is moving to a new location. Their new address, effective April 1, is 1101 Commercial Court, Suite 10, Manchester, IA 52057. Please note that the telephone numbers of the staff do not change.

The Iowa Environmental Protection Commission (EPC) approved the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) and Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) Intended Use Plans (IUP) updates for fourth quarter of fiscal year 2021 (July 1, 2020-June 30, 2021). The Commission took the action on March 16, 2021 during their teleconference meeting.

With Earth Day approaching on April 22nd, there are opportunities to encourage kids to learn about saving water while they celebrate the water planet. EPA’s WaterSense® has created new tools designed to educate children around Earth Day or every day. See their website for the available resources.

Also included are training events provided by EPA where Iowa CEU are granted, or events sponsored by Iowa DNR. See the listing on the appropriate date on the Training Calendar for registration instructions. Look at the calendar often, as there are new opportunities posted throughout the week.
