New Year's resolutions are not just for your personal life. Businesses can benefit from resolutions as well. From encouraging safety checks or initializing a morning huddle for employees to hear information and ask questions, the new year can bring about a breath of fresh air for everyone. Check out these tips for ideas on how to bring New Year's resolutions into your facility!
-
Spend less, save more. This is a more than likely a resolution every year; to spend less money in order to gain a larger profit. Finding innovative ways to improve efficiency is a way to get employees involved and will have a greater impact on their perspective about the change. Utilizing outside programs, such as P2 Services, can help give a fresh perspective on a process or area that needs some attention.
-
Becoming more organized. As time goes on and companies grow or add more products, warehouses and storage areas can become overcrowded. Taking time to focus on one area at a time can help declutter and make a less stressful environment for all.
-
Promoting safety in the workplace. Holding regular meetings or huddles for employees can help reinforce safety throughout the workplace. This also gives employees a time to learn about what is going on with the company and to be more involved.
-
Going Green. Many companies put this on their list each year and have a goal to reduce energy, water, or waste by a certain amount in the next five years. Take advantage of the various grants and programs offered. Contact P2 Services to learn more about our program and how we can assist in your Going Green initiatives.
