Iowa Board of Pharmacy - Rulemaking Published

Rulemaking action by the Iowa Board of Pharmacy has been published in the Iowa Administrative Bulletin as follows: 

Adopted 

ARC 5096C is rulemaking which has been Adopted by the Board and amends Chapter 10, “Controlled Substances,” Iowa Administrative Code. 

  • The rulemaking provides clarification that a CSA registrant must cancel the registration when it is no longer needed (such as when discontinuing practice in Iowa) and, when having done so, is allowed to later renew for the standard renewal fee when the registrant returns to practice in Iowa. 
  • ​The rule will be effective August 19, 2020.
