The Department of Revenue is experiencing technical difficulties with a segment of taxpayers attempting to file W-2s and 1099s electronically through eFile & Pay.
The Department is working with its vendor to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. Because W-2 and 1099 files are due today, January 31, 2019, the Department is extending the electronic filing deadline of W-2s and 1009s until February 28, 2019.
*Note: All other functions of eFile & Pay are currently experiencing no issues.
The statutory mission of the Iowa Department of Revenue is to serve
Iowans and support state government by collecting all taxes required by
law, but no more.
