Homewood Golf Course Opens March 28, Weather Permitting; Tee Times Available Online
AMES, Iowa – Homewood Golf Course, a public nine-hole course located at 20th Street and Duff Avenue, will open Friday, March 28, weather permitting. Tee times can be made online at www.amesparkrec.org or by calling the Homewood Clubhouse at 515.239.5363.
“Homewood typically opens April 1, but with the great weather expected, we are able to open earlier,” said Recreation Manager Nate Pietz. “We encourage golfers of all ages and abilities to come to Homewood.”
To purchase a season pass or punch card, call the clubhouse at 515.239.5363 or the Community Center at 515.239.5350. Weather updates will be posted to the Ames Parks and Recreation Facebook page.
Mens and Couples leagues will start at the end of April. A new Sixty Forward league will be held Tuesday mornings starting in May.
The Homewood Clubhouse is available year-round for private rentals. The Parks and Recreation Department manages 40 parks and offers approximately 180 athletic, aquatic, instructional, and wellness programs.
