Parks & Recreation Department Seeks Input on Indoor Aquatic Center Programs
AMES, Iowa – The City of Ames Parks & Recreation Department is seeking community input on aquatic programs and schedules through an online survey.
Feedback will assist City staff in developing a schedule for the first year of facility operations at Fitch Family Indoor Aquatic Center.

The Fitch Family Indoor Aquatic Center will be located at 115 North Elm Street. The facility will be a one-story building and contain a 25-yard, six-lane lap pool, a zero-depth entry pool with a play structure, a current channel, a wellness pool, slide, and party/meeting rooms. Additionally, two multi-purpose rooms with a walking area will be included in the facility.
The Parks and Recreation Department manages 40 parks and offers approximately 180 athletic, aquatic, instructional, and wellness programs. Indoor programs are provided year-round at the Community Center and Ames/ISU Ice Arena.
