Officials advise no swimming, ocean activities at Keʻe and Hāʻena beaches due to dangerous ocean conditions

HANALEI – Ocean Safety Bureau officials are advising no swimming or other water activities at Keʻe and Hāʻena beaches today due to high surf and strong currents.

For those swimming in the Hanalei Bay area, swimming is permitted only at the Hanalei Pavilion lifeguard tower or Hanalei Pier.

For up-to-date information about Kaua‘i ocean conditions and ocean safety, please speak to a county lifeguard at any lifeguard station, visit safebeachday.com/county/kauai/, or call the Ocean Safety Bureau at (808) 241-4984.
