For Immediate Release: October 27, 2026

County announces holiday closures

LĪHUʻE – In observance of the General Election Day holiday, County of Kauaʻi offices and all neighborhood centers will be closed on Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Closures also include the following facilities:

• All refuse transfer stations;
• The Kekaha Landfill;
• All HI5 Redemption Centers;
• The Puhi Metals Recycling Facility; and
• The Kapaʻa swimming pool.

The schedule for residential refuse pick-up will remain unchanged.

The Kauaʻi Bus will be operating on its current daily schedule. To support voter participation, fares on The Kauaʻi Bus will be waived on General Election Day.

Regular business hours for county offices and services will resume on Wednesday, Nov. 4.
