County to temporarily cover convenience fees for online vehicle registration and sewer payments

LĪHU‘E – The Department of Finance announces that beginning Monday, October 26, the County will temporarily cover the $2.50 convenience fee for online motor vehicle registration renewals and sewer payments, helping residents continue to access these services online following the September 9 fire at the Kapule Building.

The County hopes this temporary fee waiver will encourage more residents to take advantage of the convenience of online services, helping reduce the need for in-person visits and allowing residents to complete eligible transactions from home.

For each eligible online transaction, the County will cover Tyler Technologies’ $2.50 convenience fee. Customers will remain responsible for any applicable payment-processing fees, including credit card fees and the $1.00 eCheck fee.
