NR 08-11-26 (Office of the Mayor accepting proposals for FY 2026-2027 grants starting Aug. 15)

LĪHUʻE – The County of Kauaʻi Office of the Mayor is accepting proposals from non-profit organizations for its FY 2026-2027 grants-in-aid program starting August 15.

The intent of the grant program is to provide benefits to the people of the County of Kauaʻi through services or activities that meet a distinctive cultural, social, or economic need for which adequate federal or state funding cannot be secured. Proposals submitted will be reviewed and considered for the funding of proposed projects.

To apply, visit www.kauai.gov/mayor and click on “COK FY27 Grant-in-Aid.” The application link goes live on Aug. 15.

Proposals must be received on or before 4:30 p.m. HST on Sept. 11, 2026. This deadline is not a postmarked date. Proposals received after the deadline will not be considered and will be returned to the applicant.

Eligible nonprofit organizations can apply for varying amounts up to $20,000 of funding.

Applicants will be notified of funding on or around Sept. 28. The project funding period will be Oct. 16, 2026, to Oct. 15, 2027.
