July 17, 11:30 a.m., County of Kaua‘i, Hanamāʻulu brush fire
The Kaua‘i Fire Department has extinguished a brush fire in Hanamāʻulu near Hanamāʻulu Beach Park and Kapule Highway.
There were no threats to nearby structures and no reports of injuries.
The fire was reported on Friday, July 17, at 10:05 a.m.
Response:
KFD crews extinguished the fire shortly after 11:05 a.m.
Assets
Personnel with the Līhu‘e Fire Station, Rescue 3, Tanker 3, the on-duty Battalion Chief, and the Kaua‘i Police Department responded to this incident.
Road closures
The Kaua‘i Police Department provided traffic control on Kapule Highway.
