Vidinha Stadium parking lot to close for continued renovation work starting July 13
LĪHUʻE – The County of Kauaʻi is advising the public that the Vidinha Stadium parking lot will close in phases beginning Monday, July 13, to accommodate continued renovations at the stadium.
The closure is necessary to allow crews to complete ongoing improvements as part of the Vidinha Stadium renovation project. Work includes demolition of existing curbs, gutters, and asphalt; installation of new curbing, gutters, pavement, and parking striping; and construction of two new bus stop shelters and a new bus turn-in/turn-out along Hoʻolako Street.
Beginning July 13, construction will start in the south parking lot, which will be closed to the public. The north parking lot will remain open through Sunday, July 26.
Beginning July 27, construction will move into the north parking lot. The entire Vidinha Stadium parking lot, including the grass area along Hoʻolako Street, will be closed to the public from July 27 to October 31. During this time, the public will not be permitted to enter the parking lot or adjacent grass area for safety reasons.
Motorists and pedestrians are asked to obey all posted signs and barriers and use caution when traveling in the area.
Mahalo for your patience and understanding as these improvements are completed.
