KPD Extends Mahalo to Community and Partner Agencies
LĪHU‘E – The Kauaʻi Police Department extends its sincere mahalo to the public for their patience, cooperation, and vigilance throughout the search and investigation involving William “Billy” Sinclair.
The department also extends its appreciation to all partner agencies who assisted during the coordinated response, including the Kauaʻi Fire Department, Hawaiʻi Department of Law Enforcement, Federal Bureau of Investigation, United States Marshals Service, and the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney.
Special recognition is given to the Hawaiʻi Department of Land and Natural Resources Division of Conservation and Resources Enforcement for its support. Personnel from the division provided critical assistance both during the search and final phase of the investigation, including significant manpower and the deployment of marine assets, and played a crucial role in the safe apprehension of Sinclair.
The collaboration between agencies and the support of the community were essential to bringing this incident to a peaceful resolution.
