Kaua‘i Police Department Honors Employee of the Month
LĪHU‘E – The Kaua‘i Police Department (KPD) is proud to recognize Desiree Wakuta-Matsuda, Contracts Specialist in the Support Services Bureau, as the Employee of the Month for March. Her expertise, diligence, and attention to detail have been instrumental in supporting operations and enabling projects to move forward smoothly.
Desiree oversees contracts that allow KPD to purchase the equipment, services, and resources officers rely on to maintain public safety across Kaua‘i. Her strong working relationships with other county agencies help streamline complex processes, saving time and ensuring critical resources are delivered when needed. Even during the demanding fiscal year closing period, she handled a high volume of contracts with efficiency and composure. Throughout her tenure, Desiree has consistently demonstrated professionalism and a strong commitment to accuracy and timeliness.
