Temporary facility closure announced for Hanapēpē Stadium Tennis Court
HANAPĒPĒ – The Department of Parks and Recreation announces the temporary closure of Hanapēpē Stadium Tennis Court for remediation work from March 30 to Sept. 30, 2026, weather permitting.
The scope of work includes replacing wooden light poles with stainless-steel poles, installing new light fixtures, and resurfacing and repainting the courts with updated sport striping. Improvements also include replacing tennis posts and nets, installing new pickleball posts and nets, completing fence repairs, and adding windscreens.
Two existing tennis courts will be converted into six dedicated pickleball courts, while the remaining two courts will continue to serve as tennis courts.
The Department of Parks and Recreation thanks the public for their patience and understanding during this period.
