Police Seek Driver in Hit-and-Run on Kamalu Road
LĪHU‘E – Police are searching for the driver involved in a hit-and-run that occurred on Friday, March 13, 2026.
At approximately 10:45 a.m., police responded to reports that a 61-year-old man had been struck by a vehicle while on the southbound shoulder of Kamalu Road, between ʻŌhe Street and Kuamoo Road. He was transported to Wilcox Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries and later released.
Preliminary investigation indicates the driver left the scene before first responders arrived. Evidence recovered at the scene indicates that the vehicle involved is a white Chevrolet Silverado, model years 2007–2011. Authorities are seeking information from anyone who may have seen the vehicle in the area at the time of the incident.
