Emergency lane and road closures scheduled for Kawaihau Road Feb. 6
KAPA‘A - The Department of Public Works is announcing emergency lane closures and intermittent road closures along a portion of Kawaihau Road between Nunu Road and Mailihuna Road, in the vicinity of Kapa‘a Elementary School on February 6, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., weather permitting.
The closures are necessary for the public’s safety and to allow Hawaiian Telecom to replace a damaged utility pole.
Please make the appropriate arrangements to accommodate the necessary road closure, use alternate routes, and allow extra time to get to destinations. During this time, no parking will be allowed in the work zones. Flaggers will be positioned at the work zone to direct traffic.
For more information or questions, please contact Kyle Romano of Hawaiian Telcom at 808-631-3686 or kyle.romano@hawaiiantel.com.
