For Immediate Release: November 4, 2025

County announces holiday closures

LĪHU‘E – In observance of the Veterans Day holiday, County of Kaua‘i offices will be closed on Tuesday, Nov. 11.

Closures also include the following facilities on Nov. 11:

• All neighborhood centers;
• the Waimea and Kapa‘a swimming pools;
• the Reynolds Recycling HI5 Redemption Center in Līhu‘e;
• the Kekaha Landfill; and
• all refuse transfer stations.

HI5 redemption in Kīlauea and Kapa‘a will be open on Veterans Day.

The schedule for residential refuse pick-up will remain unchanged. 

The Kaua‘i Bus will be operating on its regular schedule on the holiday.

Regular business hours for county offices and services will resume on Wednesday, Nov. 12.
