NR 08-25-25 (County announces holiday closures)

LĪHU‘E –In observance of the Labor Day holiday, County of Kaua‘i offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 1.

Closures also include the following facilities on Sept. 1:

• all neighborhood centers;
• the Puhi Metals Recycling Center;
• the Reynolds Recycling HI5 Redemption Center in Līhu‘e;
• the Kekaha Landfill; and
• all refuse transfer stations.

Because the Waimea and Kapa‘a swimming pools are closed on Mondays, the staff will observe the holiday on Tuesday, Sept. 2, and return on Sept. 3.

Due to the Kaua'i Marathon taking place on August 31, the HI5 Certified Redemption Center in Kōloa will be closed on August 31 as well.

The schedule for residential refuse pick-up will remain unchanged.

The Kaua‘i Bus will be operating on its regular schedule on the holiday.

Regular business hours for county offices and services will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 2.
