News Release

For Immediate Release: Aug. 3 2025

Aug. 3, 3:25 P.M. UPDATE, County of Kaua‘i, Anahola brush fire

Kaua‘i Fire Department firefighters are responding to an estimated 3-acre brush fire in Anahola between Hokualele Road and Kuhio Highway. 

No injuries or damaged structures have been reported at this time. 

The fire was reported shortly after 1:45 p.m.

Response

KFD personnel continue to attack a brush fire between Hokualele Road and Kuhio Highway. At this time, no structures are threatened.

Assets

Crews with the Kapaa and Kaiakea fire stations, Rescue 3, Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighters, Tanker 1, Air 1, Air 2, and the on-duty Battalion Chief are responding to this incident.

The Kaua‘i Emergency Management Agency is monitoring the incident. 

Road closures

At this time, there are no road closures. However, first responders are advising the public to avoid the area. 

Updates will be posted when more information becomes available.
