KPD Advises Public to Use Alternate Non-Emergency Numbers
LĪHUʻE – The Kaua‘i Police Department (KPD) is informing the public of a technical issue currently affecting some 911 calls. In certain cases, callers may hear the dispatcher, but the dispatcher is unable to hear the caller.
As a precaution, KPD encourages the public to use the following alternative numbers for non-emergencies or in the event they experience difficulty reaching 911:
- (808) 755-8516
- (808) 652-7837
Hawaiian Telcom is actively working to resolve the problem. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
