June 6, 5:15 p.m., County of Kaua‘i, Keālia brush fire
The Kaua‘i Fire Department continues to respond to a brush fire in Keālia near Keālia Kai.
There are no threats to nearby structures, nor have any injuries been reported.
According to a preliminary report, the fire was reported shortly before 3:25 p.m. today, June 6. Officials estimate the fire to be 300 yards by 300 yards.
Assets (NEW UPDATE)
Crews with the Kaiakea Fire Station, Rescue 3, Air 1, Tanker 3, Truck 2, the on-duty Battalion Chief, Air 2, and the Kaua‘i Police Department are responding.
The Kaua‘i Emergency Management Agency and the Kaua‘i Island Utility Cooperative are also monitoring the incident.

There are no road closures at this time.
