For Immediate Release: May 19, 2025

County announces holiday closures 

LĪHU‘E – In observance of Memorial Day, County of Kaua‘i offices will be closed on Monday, May 26.

Closures also include the following facilities on May 26:

• All neighborhood centers;
• All refuse transfer stations;
• The Kekaha Landfill;
• The Puhi Metals Recycling Center; and
• All HI5 redemption centers.

The Waimea and Kapa‘a swimming pools will observe Memorial Day on Tuesday, May 27, and will be closed that day.

The schedule for residential refuse pick-up will remain unchanged. 

The Kaua‘i Bus will be operating on its current daily schedule.

Regular business hours for county offices and services will resume on Tuesday, May 27.
