Public Advised of Backup Numbers Following Phone Service Disruption
LĪHUʻE – The Kaua‘i Police Department (KPD) is notifying the public of alternative contact numbers following a temporary disruption in phone service earlier today.
At approximately 10 a.m., both KPD’s non-emergency line at (808) 241-1711 and the 911 emergency line experienced disruptions due to a network issue involving Hawaiian Telcom.
Service to both lines has since been restored. However, as a precaution, KPD encourages the public to note the following alternative numbers in case they experience difficulty reaching dispatch:

- (808) 652-7837
