Hanapēpē Bridge closure on Hanapēpē Road extended to July 31, 2025
HANAPĒPĒ – The Department of Public Works and Kiewit West Infrastructure Co., are announcing that the closure of Hanapēpē Bridge on Hanapēpē Road has been extended through July 31, 2025, due to delays in the construction schedule. Work will continue to occur on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; however, the bridge will remain closed at all times.
Officials thank the community for their understanding and patience.
Motorists are advised to make the appropriate arrangements to accommodate the necessary road closures, use alternative routes, follow detour signs, drive with caution, and allow for extra time to get to destinations.
