Officials continue to advise no swimming on north-facing shores of Kaua‘i; High Surf Advisory remains in effect

Ocean Safety Bureau officials advise no swimming on north-facing shores of Kaua‘i due to hazardous ocean conditions. This advisory is for all beaches beginning west of Hanalei Pavillion.

A High Surf Advisory is in effect through 6 a.m. Tuesday for north-facing shores of Kaua‘i and Ni‘ihau, according to the National Weather Service. Surf along the north shore is currently in the 8 to 15 feet range.

Entering the water in hazardous conditions could cause serious injury or death.
