Spring Fun March Madness basketball program scheduled for March 17 to March 21
KALĀHEO – The Department of Parks and Recreation announces the addition of the March Madness Basketball Day Camp to this year’s Spring Fun program. The basketball camp will run from March 17 to March 21 at the Kalāheo Neighborhood Center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The program is at no cost, and registration is required. For more information, including the registration form, visit https://www.kauai.gov/Government/Departments-Agencies/Parks/Programs/Spring-Programs. Registration will be open through Wednesday, March 12, or until all spots have been filled. A total of 60 children will be able to participate in this event. For grades 3 and 4, a maximum of 30 participants can register; For grades 5 and 6, a maximum of 30 participants can register.
The first 30 children to register in each grade division will be notified that they have been accepted into the program. All other applicants will be placed on a waitlist. This program is first-come, first-served. Please email completed registration forms to Clyde Vito at cvito@kauai.gov or Bronson Carvalho at bbcarvalho@kauai.gov.
Activities include speed and quickness training, basketball skill training, team-building activities, skills competitions, and more. This event is open to children in grades 3 through 6. All participants must bring a basketball, basketball shoes, and water.
