Jan. 7, 1:35 P.M., County of Kaua‘i, Anahola brush fire
Kaua‘i Fire Department firefighters are responding to a brush fire in Anahola near Ehukai Road.
As a precaution, a few homes along Ehukai Road have been evacuated. The fire is moving along the coastline away from homes. There are no other evacuations at this time. If conditions change, updates will be provided.
Assets
Crews with the Kapa‘a, Kaiākea, and Līhu‘e fire stations, Tender 1, Public Works, Air 1, the on-duty Battalion Chief, the Kaua‘i Police Department, and Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting firefighters are on scene.
The Kaua‘i Emergency Management Agency is monitoring the incident.
Road closures
There are no road closures. However, residents are advised to avoid the area.
