Full closure scheduled for portions of Akemama Raod in Lāwa‘i Nov. 15 and Nov. 18
LĀWA‘I – The Department of Public Works and its contractor, Maui Kupono Builders, are announcing a full closure for portions of Akemama Road in Lāwa‘i on Nov. 15 and Nov. 18 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., weather permitting.
The closure is necessary for road resurfacing work. Area residents will be allowed limited access through the closure and are advised that wait times may be up to an hour.
Please make the appropriate arrangements to accommodate the necessary road closures and allow extra time to get to destinations. During this time, no parking will be allowed in the work zones. Flaggers will be positioned at the work zone to direct traffic.
