Oct. 17, 1:35 P.M. UPDATE, County of Kaua‘i, Anahola brush fire
Kaua‘i Fire Department firefighters are responding to a brush fire in Anahola, along Kuhio Highway, near the Anahola Marketplace.
No injuries have been reported.
Assets
Crews with the Kapaa and Kaiakea fire stations, Tender 1, and the on-duty Battalion Chief are responding to this incident. Air 1 will be on standby in the event it is needed.
The Kaua‘i Emergency Management Agency is monitoring the incident.
Road closures
At this time, Kuhio Highway near the Anahola Marketplace is closed under further notice. At this time, there are no immediate threats to homes.
