Public advised to use KPD alternative phone lines due to cellular outages
LĪHUʻE – Due to interruptions in cellular service from certain carriers, the Kaua‘i Police Department (KPD) advises the public to use alternative phone lines.
Intermittent outages with certain cellular carriers may prevent some cell phones from contacting 911 or the non-emergency line at 808-241-1711. Landline calls, however, are functioning normally.
If you cannot reach the 911 line or the non-emergency line at 808-241-1711, please use these alternative numbers to contact KPD Dispatch:
- 808-755-8516
- 808-652-7837
The County of Kaua‘i’s Information Technology Division is actively monitoring the situation.
