2:25 p.m., Oct. 7, Refuse Transfer Stations Update

Below is the current service status of Kaua‘i’s refuse transfer stations and the Kekaha Landfill as of 2:25 p.m., Oct. 7.

Hanalei Refuse Transfer Station
5-3751 Kuhio Hwy, Princeville
Open 7:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Green waste is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Current Status: Green waste closed until further notice due equipment failure. All other services are available.

Kapa'a Refuse Transfer Station
5051 Kahi Road, Kapa‘a
Open 7:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
Current Status: Metals drop-off is temporarily closed on Tuesdays and Fridays (Wednesdays and Saturdays during weeks with Holidays) to allow our metals hauler to remove the material safely. All other services are available. 

Līhu‘e Refuse Transfer Station
3450 Ahukini Road, Līhu‘e
Current Status: CLOSED for renovations until Nov. 2

Hanapēpē Refuse Transfer Station
4380 Lele Road, Hanapēpē
Open 7:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
Current Status: All services are available. 

Kekaha Landfill
6900 Kaumuali‘i Hwy, Kekaha
Open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Closed for lunch from 12 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Current Status: All services are available. No scrap metal or propane tanks accepted (large appliances only).
