County of Kauaʻi – Office of the Prosecuting Attorney’s Life’s Choices Program announces Substance Abuse and Mental Health Treatment Grant opportunity
Today Prosecuting Attorney Rebecca Like and Life’s Choices director Diane DeHart announced that the program is preparing to accept applications for the Adult and Adolescent Mental Health & Substance Abuse Community Program Grants for fiscal year 2024-2025. A total of $1 million in grant funding will be available.
A request for proposals will be announced in the upcoming weeks via social media and the Life’s Choices website at: https://www.kauai.gov/Government/Departments-Agencies/Prosecuting-Attorney/Lifes-Choices-Kauai
Nonprofit organizations with a 501(c)(3) are invited to submit proposals. Preference will be given to organizations previously not awarded, and with services focusing on youth. For more information, contact Diane DeHart at (808) 241-4925 or ddehart@kauai.gov.
Prosecutor Like said, “This year priority consideration will be given to programs serving adolescents and young adults on Kauai. Evidence continues to mount that engaging youth in prosocial activities leads to better outcomes as adults. If your organization serves youth and is a qualifying nonprofit, we encourage you to apply.”
