One-lane closure scheduled for Wa‘apa Road in Līhu‘e Sept. 16 to Sept. 20
LĪHU‘E – The Department of Public Works and its contractor Maui Kupono Builders are announcing that a portion of Wa‘apa Road in Līhu‘e, from Niumalu Bridge to the entrance of Young Brothers Hawai‘i, will be closed Sept. 16 to Sept. 20, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The closure is necessary for road resurfacing work. Motorists are advised that full closures may be intermittent. However, access will be available to driveways and residents in the area.
Please make the appropriate arrangements to accommodate the necessary road closures, use alternate routes, and allow extra time to get to destinations. During this time, no parking will be allowed in the work zones. Flaggers will be positioned at the work zone to direct traffic.
