Kaua‘i Police identifies man found unresponsive in Kalihiwai on Aug. 21; no foul play suspected
LĪHUʻE – The Kaua‘i Police Department has identified a man found unresponsive at Kalihiwai Beach on Aug. 21.
The male has been identified as Jesse W. Eidson, 43, from Chattanooga, Tennessee.
On Wednesday, Aug. 21, at approximately 1 p.m., medics responded to Kalihiwai Beach for a man who was unresponsive. Mr. Eidson was transported to the Wilcox Medical Center and later medevacked to Queen’s Medical Center on O‘ahu, where he passed away on Thursday, Aug. 22.
Based on the preliminary findings from an autopsy and witness statements, foul play is not suspected.
