Road closure for portion of ‘Ele‘ele Road scheduled Aug. 12 to Aug. 30
‘ELE‘ELE - The Department of Public Works and Earthworks Pacific announce that a portion of ‘Ele‘ele Road will be closed on weekdays, Aug. 12 to 30, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The road will remain open on weekends and holidays.
Ele‘ele Road will be fully closed from the intersection of Kaumuali‘i Highway to Melemele Road. The road closure is necessary for the installation of a new sewer line. Motorists are urged to use alternate routes and to expect brief and occasional delays.
Please exercise caution and drive slowly when commuting through the work area, which is narrow and near the homes of residents. The speed limit is 25 mph for the entire length of the work area.
