Jul. 2 UPDATE: Police continue to search for Daisy Ogawa, a 16-year-old who was reported missing on Jun. 20, 2024. KPD would like to remind the public that any person who renders assistance and conceals Ogawa without the right to do so, is subject to prosecution for Custodial Interference in the 2nd Degree, an offense punishable by up to one year in prison. Rendering assistance includes providing money, transportation, housing, disguise, or other means of avoiding discovery and return to her parent and/or legal guardian.

KPD seeks public’s assistance locating runaway ‘Ele‘ele juvenile
LĪHUʻE – The Kaua‘i Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a runaway juvenile.
Daisy K. Ogawa, a 16-year-old resident of ‘Ele‘ele, was reported missing on Jun. 20, 2024. She was last seen in the ‘Ele‘ele area.
Ogawa is 5 feet tall and weighs approximately 120 pounds. She has a fair complexion, straight brown hair, and is of Filipino decent. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black crop top shirt, and brown sandals with black straps.
Ogawa is known to frequent the Līhu‘e and Kapa‘a areas.
Anyone with information about Ogawa’s whereabouts is urged to contact KPD Dispatch at 808-241-1711. Those wishing to remain anonymous can provide information by calling Crime Stoppers Kaua‘i at 808-246-8300, submitting a tip at cskauai.org, or through the Crime Stoppers Kaua‘i P3 Tips Mobile App.
