Lane closures scheduled for portion of Awawa Road May 9 and May 10
HANAPĒPĒ – The Department of Public Works announces that a portion of Awawa Road, from Akea Road, will be closed May 9 and May 10, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a break from 11 a.m. to noon, weather permitting.
The necessary lane closures will allow the County of Kaua‘i, Roads Division, in conjunction with the State of Hawai‘i, Department of Land and Natural Resources, to conduct necessary tree cutting and tree removal work.
Only local traffic will be allowed for those needing to access their properties, however, please be advised of long delays as crews cut and process overhanging trees and branches.
Motorists are advised to follow all roadwork signs, flagger instructions, and allow for extra time to reach their destinations.
