For Immediate Release: December 28, 2023

Used motor oil not accepted at Līhu‘e refuse transfer station and Kekaha Landfill until further notice

Used motor oil is not being accepted at the Līhu‘e refuse transfer station and Kekaha Landfill until further notice due to issues with the contractor’s hauling equipment.

This service may be impacted or unavailable at all refuse transfer stations during this time.

The contractor estimates that it may take one to two weeks to complete repairs.

Updates will be provided in a future news release.
