KAPA‘A – The Department of Parks and Recreation (DOPR) is announcing that a portion of Ke Ala Hele Makālae will be closed on Tuesday, Dec. 5, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The section of Ke Ala Hele Makālae that will be closed is between Jimmy's Grill and the roundabout at the intersection of Kūhiō Highway and Mailihuna Road.
During this closure, the Department of Parks and Recreation (DOPR) staff will conduct extensive maintenance along the path in collaboration with the State Department of Transportation's project to reduce the potential for wildlife hazards.
